There is no shortcut to weight loss but there are many roadblocks. Instead of frustration, rollercoasters, and plains, look the other way. Just because something has worked before does not mean it will work again. If you measure how the body works, you will know what goes wrong. Work hard, but work smart and work directly.

Most people declare that losing weight is as easy as eating less and exercising more. If that were true, losing weight would not be a daunting task. When the effort does not lead to the desired result, it is usually in the next meal or weight loss arvada co and you are hoping for the best. The promises of shortcuts and guaranteed results sound appealing but fall apart over and over again. Supportive friends, family members, and other important people are important in weight loss. If I were asked to talk about the most common reason for not sticking to a healthy diet from my former training clients, I would be swearing.
All right. As silly as it sounds, people are really ridiculed for healthy eating, especially in regions where food is an important part of the culture. Growing up south of Louisiana near New Orleans, I saw this many times when I decided to make a change in my diet.
At family gatherings and social gatherings, I would receive thoughts such as, “Is that all you are eating?” or, “You really won’t eat any dessert?” or, full of sarcasm, “Next time we’ll have a salad.”
It’s not fun to be ridiculed or teased, especially about things you care about (like your health!), So it can be very easy to fall into the trap of eating – and drinking – because of your social life. That’s why a solid support system is key to long-term weight loss. Without it, the journey can be lonely and scary.
If you currently feel you have no support, try to have open conversations with your friends, family, and colleagues about it. You can make it clear that they do not have to change their eating habits if they do not want to, but that your health means a lot to you and you can enjoy it if they do not ridicule or underestimate your hard work.
